Anger Sorrow Peace

NB At this time, this is a first draft, I am still working on the 'anger sorrow fear & peace joy' to replace the following, which is a major root component of that.

Anger Sorrow Peace

This is one of the reference worksheets produced for clearer navigation of the emotional thresholds that appear in intimate bonding. It is designed for adults (and adaptable for younger people) who are learning to recognise the cycles that arise when anger surfaces at the boundary of deeper connection.

A person remains largely in the chaotic path. They cycle through anger and, beneath it, sorrow, yet they have been conditioned never to show the sorrow or the possibility of peace to others. Only the anger (and its escalation into hate or control) is permitted to be visible. Because the sorrow remains hidden and unacknowledged, the frustration of never being fully met feeds back into more anger. The loop keeps them oscillating between chaotic expression and the attempt to stay in anger in order to avoid feeling the underlying sorrow.

They are offered a choice.
They can continue carefully editing which aspects of the cycle others are allowed to see, remaining inside the chaotic or hate paths and managing the relationship through partial revelation.

Or they can turn toward the root (the original fear of loss, of being controlled, or the earlier trauma that first taught them anger was safer than sorrow) and practise acceptance and forgiveness. This path moves through the anger and the sorrow rather than bypassing them by force of will, and opens the possibility of peace — emotional, mental, and relational stability — in which the deeper mental-emotional boundary can finally be lowered with greater safety.

This movement is desirable, yet it is rarely quick. Facing the root cause is difficult even after it has been identified. In most cases steady guidance and repeated practice are required. The worksheet is offered as one practical step toward building the patience and self-belief needed to interrupt the loop and choose the path that leads beyond chronic anger and hidden sorrow.
