1. Critical thinking with empathy
   Test claims. Stay close to consequences for real people. Do not let sharpness become contempt, or kindness become unthinking.
2. Traditional Indigenous Values (Living Values of Place)
   Morality that can be practised. Customary law that restores more than it punishes. Spiritual attention that does not require a slogan. Care for land and living systems as part of the same duty, not a separate cause.
3. Learn the craft of stewardship
   Finances, so resources last.
   Management, so effort is not wasted.
   Take both from a human measure of logistics: move what is needed, to whom it is needed, without treating people as spare parts.
4. Humanist logistics
   Design the flows of money, work, goods, knowledge and care so they keep communities solvent and dignified. Efficiency in service of people, not people in service of a system.
5. Promote and strengthen Stability over abstract ideology
   Prefer what can be lived, shared and repaired: homes, skills, trust, land in good heart, institutions that still work. Treat ideology as a tool when it clarifies, and set it down when it starts to eat the thing it claimed to serve.

The work is to become more capable at what I already do, and to use any authority I am given to make that capability common rather than exclusive.
